Blue Eyed Grass

Description

Blue eyed grass (Sisyrinchium bellum)

A must have for a native garden, especially a meadow type setting. Blue eyed grass is not exactly blue, nor is it grass, it’s actually in the iris family! It’s flowers are usually a purple to violet color and when the flowers are gone it looks like an attractive decorative grass.

Grow in part shade in wet areas. Woodland strawberry, Turkey tangle frog fruit, or Common Yarrow would do well alongside it.
